This policy explains when a refund is available for paid Våld Labs digital products, what is normally not refundable, the statutory rights that always apply, and how to make a request.
Våld Labs is the brand name under which Jaime Paiva, an independent software developer based in Lisbon, Portugal, develops and sells these products. Våld Labs is not a separate legal entity. Full legal details are in section 10.
This policy applies to paid Våld Labs digital products purchased through valdlabs.com, where payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy.
Purchases made through the Apple App Store or another marketplace follow that platform's refund process and are not covered by this policy; please contact the platform directly.
Nothing in this policy restricts the mandatory rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence. Where this policy and a mandatory right differ, the mandatory right applies.
Lemon Squeezy acts as merchant of record for purchases on valdlabs.com. It processes payments and applicable taxes, issues invoices, carries out approved refunds and handles chargebacks.

Downloadable software cannot be handed back once it has been delivered, so please check before buying that a product fits your setup. In particular, review:

For technical claims we may ask you to work through reasonable troubleshooting steps with us first, such as confirming the product version, operating system and DAW or host and sending diagnostic information, so that we can identify and, where possible, fix the problem.
Except where mandatory law provides otherwise, we do not normally provide a voluntary refund solely because:
These exclusions do not apply where the product is legally defective, misdescribed or does not conform to the contract. In those cases your statutory remedies apply in full (see sections 4 and 7).
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the European Economic Area, you normally have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason.
For digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium, such as downloadable software and licence keys, the right of withdrawal is lost once delivery or downloading begins only if, before delivery, you:
Simply downloading a product does not by itself remove the right of withdrawal in every case. Where this consent and acknowledgement were not obtained at checkout, or where mandatory law says the right continues, your statutory right of withdrawal is preserved and you may withdraw within the 14-day period by contacting us (section 8) or Lemon Squeezy.
The right of withdrawal is separate from, and does not limit, your rights concerning software that is defective, misdescribed or does not conform to the contract.
Voluntary refund requests under section 4 should normally be submitted within 14 days of purchase.
This voluntary period does not shorten any longer statutory period that applies to defects, non-conformity, unauthorised payments or other legal rights. For example, EU consumer law gives you conformity rights for digital content that last well beyond 14 days.

Do not email full payment-card details. We never need them; payment information is handled by Lemon Squeezy.
Consumers exercising an EU or EEA right of withdrawal may use the same address and simply state that they wish to withdraw.
Approved refunds are returned by Lemon Squeezy to the original payment method. Depending on your bank or payment provider, a refund may take up to 10 days to appear.
After a refund:
A refund does not affect the ownership of music or other work you created with the software before the refund.
